Activities in the area

Basecamp is located in Ried im Oberinntal, a village with approximately 1200 inhabitants in Tyrol. Ried is approximately 900km from Rotterdam.

In the immediate vicinity of Basecamp there are countless opportunities for (sports) activities such as cycling, rafting, mountain biking, rock climbing and high-alpine tours. There are also many playgrounds, swimming pools and swimming lakes.

Ried Fendels
The Badesee, a beautiful swimming lake with regular live music, is within walking distance of Basescamp. The (gondola) lift to Fendels is also within walking distance. Fendels has a small ski area of 11 km. Perfect for the novice skier or families with young children. Two fun winter activities in Fendels are evening skiing and sledding down an illuminated toboggan run.

Fendels offers various activities during the summer season. Walks have been marked out at the top of the lift and there is a large, natural adventure playground for children. Also nice: you can rent mountain carts to take you to the middle station.

Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis
In 10 - 15 minutes by car or ski bus you can reach the first gondola lift of the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis area. A ski area with 200 km of slopes. This area is known for being child-friendly, but there is also a challenge for advanced skiers with 112 km of red slopes and 28 km of black slopes. Don't want to ski? The ski area has 30 km of trails, so there is also plenty to do for cross-country skiers.

Even in the summer season there is more than enough to do here for young and old; playgrounds, adventure parks, toboggan run, a swimming lake, organized activities, walks, etc.

Towns
The town of Landeck is 15 minutes by car and you can reach Innsbruck within an hour's drive. A nice city for a day of culture. Innsbruck is also home to the airport, which takes you to the Netherlands in just over an hour.

Even more beautiful areas
You can discover even more beautiful areas within 30 - 45 minutes by car, for example the Kaunertal glacier (ski) area, Italy with the Reschensee and Stelvio Pass and the Ischgl-Samnaun ski area.

Via the Kaunertal, Austria's second highest mountain, the Wildspitze, is also within easy reach.
